Performance, accountability and long-term value creation – these are the things that underscores the work we do and our push towards a better-than-sustainable future. The challenge is no longer just achieving certifications, but ensuring that buildings perform for a climate-positive future throughout their lifecycle.

Where and how sustainable design holds meaning for Kai Ting lies not only in its technical depth but for its tangible and long-term impact on the human condition and our spatial experience. Her passion for the work stems from her personal interest in architecture and natural aptitude for engineering, both of which intersect in the field of sustainable design. Embedded within a multidisciplinary design environment, she brings an appreciation for collaboration and solutions integration for outcomes that excel baseline requirements through a systems-based thinking and data-driven approach in her work.

Kai Ting’s involvement in the award-winning, Green Mark 2021 Platinum – Super Low Energy certified projects—namely, SAFRA Choa Chu Kang Clubhouse and Central Manpower Base (CMPB)—have further strengthened her resolve to human-centric sustainable design. Both projects leveraged whole building energy modelling and environmental analysis at early-stage design development to derive strategies and performance-based design outcomes that supported sustainability goals while value-adding to end-users’ wellbeing and spatial quality. The experience Kai Ting gained in translating analytical results into practical and resilient real-world applications—bridging simulation and reality—has been, for her, deeply fulfilling.
