Adelina Jaya
Associate Director | GMAAP, EDGE Expert, WiredScore AP, SmartScore AP
Sustainable design requires a holistic perspective where decarbonisation, environmental wellbeing, and community impact come together to create better outcomes.
A certified BCA-SGBC Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional, EDGE Expert, WiredScore Accredited Professional and SmartScore Accredited Professional, Adelina approaches sustainable design as a comprehensive practice—integrating energy performance, indoor quality, and material choices across a project’s full life cycle. She believes data-driven, performance-based design is essential to moving beyond standard metrics. Leveraging advanced simulation tools, she unifies carbon reduction with resilient design, ensuring every project is both sustainable and spatially exceptional.
Her works, true to DPSD’s ethos, effectively balances environmental performance with design excellence. Notable among them are the , the first Grade A office development in Singapore to attain all five sustainability badges as well as the Green Mark (GM) Platinum—Super Low energy certification under the GM 2021 framework; and, the integrated hospital campus, Sengkang General Hospital which was recognised as the winner for Global Green Model Community (Building) in the Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Awards 2020.
Outside of project work, Adelina shares her knowhow as a part-time lecturer for the Solar Modelling module at the BCA Academy. The yearly course equips industry practitioners with knowledge to conduct effective solar simulations and build hands-on skills in effective solar modelling.
