When tasked with the design of the new satellite campus of Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and the polytechnic’s new sports hub, our challenge was not limited to creating architecture of Green Mark Platinum rating.
A high profile institutional building, the university aimed to become an exemplary Singapore facility for the conservation of energy from the outset of the project. To achieve this, effective demand reductions were created through passive strategies, avoiding heat gains while maximising daylighting and natural air movement.
